Renting a supercar in Orlando is more fun when you actually drive it somewhere. Central Florida is flat, open, and ringed by coastline — perfect for a top-down day. Here are five routes worth the rental, from a 20-minute night cruise to a full coastal loop, with the right car for each. All of them start wherever we deliver the car — resort, airport, or your door.
1. Cocoa Beach & the A1A (≈1 hr east)
The classic. Head east on the 528 (Beachline) to the coast, then run the A1A along Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral — ocean on one side, palms on the other, and long straight stretches to open it up legally where posted. Time a launch day and you might catch a rocket off the Cape. Best car: a Huracán Spyder or Ferrari convertible for the top-down coastal run.
2. Daytona Beach & the loop up I-95 (≈1 hr NE)
Straight up I-4 to I-95 and you're at Daytona Beach — hard-packed sand you can (carefully) drive on in places, the Speedway, and the boardwalk. Make it a loop back through the coastal towns for variety. Best car: something with presence for the beachfront — a Rolls-Royce or Urus if you want comfort for the round trip.
3. The I-Drive & ICON Park night cruise (≈20 min)
Short on time? The International Drive corridorafter dark is the easiest win — neon, the Eye, the resorts, and a slow cruise where the car is the show. This is the go-to for a birthday night or a "we're only here for the parks" evening. Best car: the loudest thing on the fleet — a Lamborghini turns every valet line into a moment.
4. Mount Dora & the Sugarloaf back roads (≈45 min NW)
Orlando is flat, but the Sugarloaf Mountain area near Clermont and Mount Dora has the closest thing to real elevation and curves in Central Florida — rolling citrus-country two-lanes that reward a proper sports car. Cap it with lunch in historic downtown Mount Dora. Best car: a Huracán or Corvette that likes a corner.
5. Lake Nona & Winter Park cruise (≈30 min)
Two of Orlando's most photogenic neighborhoods. Lake Nona is wide, modern, and quiet — great for photos and clean backdrops. Winter Park's Park Avenueis brick streets, boutiques, and old oaks. Both are easy, low-mileage days that stay well inside a standard rental's mileage cap. Best car: a Rolls-Royce or G-Wagon for the boulevard look.
Before you go
Watch your mileage cap (most exotics include 100–150 miles/day — the coastal loops use most of it), keep it legal on the open stretches, and return the fuel full. New to this?
